On May 16, 2024, a press conference was held for the "Thailand Best Coffee Beans Competition 2024", which is an important competition for discovering and elevating the quality of Thai coffee to international standards. The main objectives were to encourage quality coffee producers to participate in the competition and to disseminate knowledge to develop Thai coffee to meet global standards. The event took place at Silooet House in Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi Province.

Mr. Rapiphat Chansriwong, Director-General of the Department of Agriculture, and Mr. Thongchai Khamkot, Director of the Institute of Horticultural Research, presided over the opening ceremony. Additionally, representatives from the judging committee discussed this year's judging criteria, which have been elevated to higher standards, and spoke about the various competition categories. Special guests included last year's winning farmers, who shared their experiences from the previous competition.
